For Windows Vista:

  1. From Start, then type "regedit".

  3. Step 3 & 4 are the same as Windows XP (see above).

That's all you need to know for basic editing such as removing spyware or troubleshooting a basic Windows problem. But it is not suitable for every situation.

The links contained in the email pointing to various locations are often bundled with malicious programs. If you use too many of them, you may become the latest victim of the tricks. Your machine will become infected. And the cycle continues. So stop clicking the links by being smart and surf on reputable sources. Remember to keep way from the junk mails that has malicious intent.

After all I told you, the most important thing is to find out a proper uninstaller before you doing every removal. As we know, a workman must sharpen his tools if he is to do his work well. Not all the applications can be completely deleted by Add or Remove programs or the packaged uninstaller due to the new features and additional information not compatible with the old uninstaller.
